A heritage build over 165 years
For more than 165 years, our business has helped keep critical industries moving. If you’ve worked with us over the years, there’s a good chance you’ve known us by more than one name.
Across decades of engineering, service and support, our organisation has grown and evolved. Sometimes through acquisitions, sometimes through changes in trading names, all while continuing to support the same industries, the same assets, and often the same customers.
A TRUSTED PARTNER
For some, we’ll always be the original brand you first specified or purchased from. For others, we’re a trusted service partner you’ve relied on long after installation. And for many, our current name is simply the latest chapter in a much longer story. What hasn’t changed is the expertise behind it.
The heritage brands that make up the rich history of David Brown Santasalo represent generations of gearbox knowledge, specialist engineering capability and real‑world operational experience. In many cases, the people, processes and know‑how our customers value today are the very same ones they relied on years ago. That heritage matters, because it’s more than a list of names, it’s the reason we understand legacy equipment as well as modern designs and it’s why we can support gearboxes that have been in service for decades.
It is also the reason we continue to help customers extend asset life, reduce downtime and make confident maintenance decisions, regardless of when, where or under which brand their equipment was originally supplied.
Today, while our name may be David Brown Santasalo, our foundation is built on the many respected brands that came before it, and the customers who trusted them. And that experience doesn’t stop at our own heritage. Whether your gearbox carries one of our historic names or belongs to a completely different OEM, our focus remains the same: keeping critical equipment running safely, reliably and for the long term.
